It’s Friday – so what?

David train early in the morning and most mornings I can get back to sleep as soon as he leaves but these week I haven’t been able to and it sucks for the most part but today I am glad I am up, it means I can get in a blog post quickly.

One of the down sides of working from home is that it doesn’t really make a difference what day it is. This week has been rough – I have lived up to the “mom’s taxi” label us soccer mom get. Yesterday started off with a hectic session with the bio – she gave me an exercise to do and I said “IMPOSSIBLE – no one in this gym can do that” – she said “Well then you will be the first” – I think they go through some induction on how to be mean! Anyway it was hectic and drained the last bit of energy I had.

So tomorrow is Saturday. Most people get a break from their weekly routine – the only thing that changes is the kids are home and D is here. It doesn’t get calmer . I have an icing course tomorrow and on Sunday we have BSG Triathalon 3 (out of 5). There is no sleeping late or lounging around. So Wedneday or Sunday – it’s all the same to me 🙂

Today I am heading off on a party bus to celebrate the SAVF (South African Women’s Federation) 108th birthday – we will be doing a tour of all the SAVF facilities in Pretoria. I am rather excited about it. It’s a PR event that has a little more meaning and is all about raising awareness – bet some of you didn’t even know what the SAVF stood for :-p

Cameron has his first gala this afternoon – I am going to try and be calm and cheer him on and keep my tiger mom at bay 🙂

Jack shoved a little boy at Moms and Tots on Wednesday – the boy tried to steal his iron so he shoved him and then shouted at him. Same thing happened a little later over another toy. I was rather taken aback to be honest but it seems age appropriate? There is a fair amount of shoving happening in our class at the moment.

My time is up now – need to force feed the kids breakfast.

How has your week been? What are you up to this weekend?

  1. I have so much respect for all moms who work from home because just like you said, the days don’t get better, does not matter what day it is and no rest days whatsoever.
Enjoy your day with the women of the Federation and the party bus. I’m sure that’s going to be loads of fun.

  2. Shoving each other around over toys is definitely age appropriate. Toddlers don’t share… You should tell him though that it’s not nice so it’s not a foreign concept once he needs to stop doing it, but he won’t listen yet 😉

Good luck for Cam’s gala and I hope you can fit at least some chilling in somewhere over the weekend! X

  3. Tiger mom 🙂 😉
Hope Cam had fun and hope you did too?
Week was so so and the weekend was the same. Did 2 5km walks which are always fun.

Hope you had a nice weekend too?
