I am linking up with Tings Mom for Things on Thursday today 🙂
I actually wasn’t going to post about New Years Resolutions/goals because then I need to check back at the end of the year and I suck at seeing things through BUT I am determined to be more organised (this MAY be my word for the year) this year and then came across the post so I decided to do it.
So here they are – my goals for 2013
- Plan and execute the perfect wedding.
- Loose 10kg – really this 10kg has remained with me all through 2012 – ENOUGH now!
- Sew – I am still having a stand off with the sewing machine but I there is so much I want to make that I need to get over it.
- Compete in at least 1 BSG triathalon with David – I really didn’t want to put this one on – it seems so huge but I actually really do want to do it.
- Be more organised!
- Continue with my gym routine of 5 days a week.
- Attend the meditation retreat at the Budhist Temple in Bronkhorstspruit – if anyone is looking for a birthday gift for me – THIS would be it!!!!!
- Learn how to bake bread!
- Be a better friend.
- Have more fun!
What are some of the things on your list?

Cocktail Rolls
450 g cake flour 1 sachet instant dried yeast
320 ml lukewarm water 10 ml salt
2 tablespoons oil 10 ml sugar
selection of seeds, coarse salt, etc.
Mix the flour, yeast, salt, oil and water together to form a smooth dough. Place on a floured surface and knead for about two minutes until smooth and pliable. Now place the dough into a greased packet in a bowl of hot water and allow to prove for about 15 – 20 minutes, until doubled in size.
Knead again for about 2 minutes and shape as desired then place on greased baking sheet and allow to prove for a second time for about 10 minutes. Bake in a pre-heated oven of 180°C for about 15 minutes until golden.
Good luck with all the wedding planning. I have some goals (I prefer that term to resolution) similar to yours – get back to going to the gym 5 to 6 times a week, eat better and shed loads of weight and do a 5km race (I do lots of 5, 8 and 10km walks, but would ne good to run) if I can get the all clear from the physio. Read more NF and learn to make jewelry
I’ll be putting some of my goals up later… 🙂 I have 4.5 pages full but they are mostly doable 🙂
I love it! Organising is such a huge part of my word (simplify) this year. You have some wonderful goals. My only goal is to stick to simplifying my life 😉
I would also like to make my own bread. I am actually thinking of buying a bread maker. Not sure if it is worth it though.
Some of the things on my list include saving a certain amount of money and doing a half marathon. I wanted to do the two oceans but I suspect I may not be ready (and to be honest, the thought of the crowds freak me out) so I’m going to (hopefully) do one later in the year – one of the lesser known ones. And I REALLY need to get organised with my kids and their issues. Have all their stuff (reports from therapists and school and clinic cards etc) in ONE folder. It’s a nightmare when I need something specific so want to make them each a file. Also there are 2 big-ticket (read: expensive) items that I need to work towards buying.
I found you via Thumping Thursdays and am following via Twitter! Diana
I like your list! Thanks for linking up with me.
I’m in awe of how many resolutions people have come up with. I can’t come up with one! Maybe because I already have enough on my to-do list…
Hi! I’m your newest follower. Please stop by and say hi when you have a chance. I’m also hosting a blog hop – if you would like to join us 🙂 Hope you’re having an awesome week.
