I recently got sent two recipes by Kellogg’s to try.
Cameron is always keen to try out a new recipe so he decided to try out the one recipe on Sunday.
It did not go quite as planned BUT the crunchies he made were apparently divine.
He used this recipe below that can be used to make a pirate ship.
Ingredients
8 cups Kellogg’s Coco Pops Choco’s
60ml Butter
54 Marshmallows (300g) use the white ones
250g Dark chocolate melted
Canned icing sugar or decorating gel
Assorted sweets
Method
1. In a large saucepan melt butter over low heat. Add the marshmallows and stir until completely melted. Remove from heat.
2. Add the coco pops. Stir in until well coated.
3. Using a buttered spatula or wax wrap, press mixture into a 15 x 10 x 1-inch pan coated with cooking spray. Cool slightly.
4. Using a sharp knife cut out the layers to build your pirate ship. Stick layers together with melted chocolate.
5. Decorate the ship with icing and sweets of your choice.
THIS is what it should look like
This is what ours looked like because we didn’t make the ship – we just pressed into the pan. (See why you need to use the white marshmallows only). David and Cameron were fighting each other for them.
