7 months pregnant and still kicking arse!

1312_blog-award

Jess from Love From Bear awarded me this award and it had fun questions to answer.

What are you working on right now? Nothing much at the moment. Focusing on chilling and just enjoying my time with my family.

Where did the idea for the Harassedmom blog come from? I started writing this blog as a newly single mom who had moved back home and felt harassed more than I didn’t and the name has just sort of stuck.

What does your typical day look like? At the moment our days are super laid back. We wake up, we eat, we do an activity with the kids or pop in to town, then we nap, eat some more and then do it all again the next day. It’s been really great. But typically when, we aren’t on holiday my revolves around dropping and fetching kids with some gym in the middle somewhere.

How do you bring ideas to life? Depends on the size of the idea. The smaller ones I will just execute – normally on a Sunday afternoon when the last thing my family feel like doing is rearranging furniture or hanging pictures. The bigger ones I will pinterest, discuss with David, pinterest some more, work out a budget, go back to pinterest and then maybe execute.
What’s one trend that really excites you? Chevrons! I am loving them. I want to redo our room in these exact colours – totally love it.

f3e1d3a13579b83b9107c057b05b0f8aWhat was the worst job you ever had and what did you learn from it? Probably data capturing when I started working for the bank many years ago – it is a soul destroying, mind numbing job that no one should actually be made to do! EVER! Things didn’t really get much better from there to be honest but I did learn (after 10 years) that the Corporate world isn’t for me at all.

If you were to start again, what would you do differently? I wouldn’t get married so young and I would definitely have finished my degree.

If you could change one thing in the world, what would it be and how would you go about it? This is a tough one but possibly I would remove money and the importance we place on it. Go back to bartering or something.

Tell us a secret. I am extremely insecure.
What are your three favorite online tools or resources and what do you love about them? Sometimes it feels like we are more a slave to online tools than users. I use twitter, facebook and instagram the most – even before I google something I will ask on FB or twitter so I suppose by default they are then my favourite.

What is the one book that you recommend people should read and why? Tough one! I have read a few books recently that have impacted me but for very personal reasons. This year “The Pursuit of Happiness” by Douglas Kennedy really touched me. It was an emotionally draining read for me but a beautifully written story.

Three people we should follow on Twitter and why? No idea – I get different things from different people – I think the key to twitter is finding people who share things that interest you and follow them rather than fulling your feed up with who you think you should follow.

When was the last time you laughed out loud? What caused it? There has been a fair amount of laughing this week at the antics of the kids and my brother is a clown, every single thing is a joke so there has been laughing at his sillyness too.

Who is your hero? My parents. That is all.
Bloggers who you would like to take part?

Julia – just because you are awesome!

Marcia – I know you don’t normally like these things but I am interested in your answers.

Jeanette – for a break from the blog challenge and because you kick arse 🙂
