Snap

You know at school how you used to play with your rulers and bend it and bend it until it snapped?

I felt like that yesterday. The person I snapped at was Plane Boy. I wasnt nice and it was over something so totally silly – the 27 Dinner. Two seconds later I snapped at one of the kids.

It wasnt pretty.

The reason for my snapping is lots of things – I am tired, I am stressed but mainly I am worried. Remember this post about my hips? Well they are sore again – VERY VERY sore. All the time. It gets so bad sometimes I cry. Its worrying.

I know its brought on by my increased time at my desk during exams and my lack of regular exercise. But I have also been around the block enough with this to know it could be more.

But going to the Dr is not an option – they are surgeons and they cut and that isnt even a consideration for me right now.

So I bought (thanks to my most awesome boyfriend) the arthritis meds I was on a few months ago that really did help and am going to start back at gym regularly next week.

And then I am going to pray that it goes away.

Eventhough I snapped at him and wasnt very nice, Plane Boy called me at 22h30 last night – he was at my gate. He drove all the way from Joburg after his dinner to see me because he was worried.

Isnt that the most amazing thing EVER!

While it didsnt take the physical pain away it is awesome to know that there is someone standing next to me who wants to take it away!

Sorry to hear about the pain – only now read the story about your hip. Fut, why does bad things happen to good people – it’s not like you don’t have enough to deal with already!

Hope the meds work, I hope medical technology progresses in a why that something works, permanently soon! Is that complete wishful thinking? As long as there is hope!

When my back hurts from too much desk time, I go cycling. It works wonders. Not just for my back, but for my mental and emotional state. I pedal away all the stuff that needs processing.

Aw, that is very special. Geez Laura, sorry to hear you are struggling like this – its always worrying when your body begins to manifest aches and pains. I have a knee that seems to flare up (randomly) to the point I cannot walk without limping! I also saw an orthopaedic surgeon (while on holiday in Syndney!!) and they talked about surgery. NO WAY.

Its has flared up a handful of times over the last 10years and I just try managed it and then it disappears. I do hope that this will be the case for you too.
