I’d like to make myself believe that planet earth turns slowly
Weren’t weekends created as rest days? Wasn’t the point of them to re-charge for the week ahead?
Well we never got that memo in harassedmom land
So we spend our weekends in a chaotic whirlwind of activities. We watch rugby in Joburg and drive home in the middle of the night with a sick kid who literally passed out from all the “kill the germs” meds. We wake up with the birds to head off to the market, then head off to meet some people about some things I am not ready to blog about, then we do some shopping, then we attempt to chill.
It doesn’t end there though. We then go to gym. Fortunately the sick child isĀ now feeling a little better (a childs wellness can be gauged by the level of fighting withtheir sibling) so we head off to fetch my dad from the airport (and get pulled over by cops for swerving across an island right in front of them – airports FREAK ME OUT!) Then we pack up children, bags, food and head off back to Joburg to housesit for Davids mom and have a small braai for a few friends.
And since it was a public holiday it still didn’t end. We make a DIVINE lunch, play some UNO and then pack everyone back up and head home where we see some more people about some things I am not ready to blog about :-p
THAT people is how you chill out over the weekends!
Hope you all had a good one!
PS – I am more than likely not going to manage to catch up the last 4 days of blog reading but now I still love you all

And weekends like that are exactly why my Glugs and I now schedule a weekend for ourselves once a month.
