Operation Shoebox

Operation Shoebox is an intiative run from Cape Town that aims to provide Christmas gifts to charities and childrens homes.

It is an awesome intiative where they ask you to decorate a shoe box and then full it with gifts for a child.

The process is simple – you register, they send you a childs name and details, you put the box together and drop it off – it is that easy!

I have registered and received the name of my child this morning.

Please do not think you can’t get involved if you aren’t in Cape Town – they need monetary donations aswell and we are going to arrange for my parcel to get down to Cape Town via friends/family.

So please check it out and see how you can get involved!

PS – I am going to be organising a Christmas Party like the one we did next year aswell – so watch out for details on that too :)

A school, some books and a good thing

I posted on Female2Female last week about a book fundraiser for a little school that started rather suddenly.

Well the challenge was to get 100 books for Bambelela – we have 69 so far. How awesome is that? We have nearly reached our target.

But we still need 30 more. So if you have old books lying around the house then pack them up and send them off to Yvette and her little school or log on to Kalahari and buy a book or two.

If you do take part please let us know so that we can keep track :)

Thank you to The Book Club ladies for their hard work :)

Christmas Party

I have made a post over at Female2Female regarding a Christmas Party I am organising for a Childrens home!

Please go and read it if you are in Joburg and mail me to get involved! All we need is R100!

GO GO GO!
