If nothing ever changed, there’d be no butterflies
Last night was Kiaras Grade 0 graduation and today was Camerons prizegiving.
Cameron won a book prize for Outstanding Academic Acheivement in Life Skills, Chess and Sport and for the most merits received in his class
I am BEYOND proud of him.
Not only is it the end of the school year but it is the end of their time with this school. I only realised this morning how sad I actually am to be leaving and am having serious second thoughts about my decision.
The kids have been with this school for 3 years – 3 hard emotional years for us all. And the teachers they have had have treated them (and me) with such exceptional love, kindess and support.
They have given Cameron such immense confidence in himself and have nurtured his loving, caring spirit.
They have allowed Kiara the freedom, within their boundaries, to be who she is without judgement or criticism.
The staff have always been friendly and caring towards us all. They have understood when my child arrives with the same clothes on 2 days in a row because she refuses to wear anything else. They have taken calls from my ex-husband and understood. They have phoned me to let me know things that they really didnt need to but knew I would appreciate it. They have listened to my fears and reassured me.
But more than all that they have loved my children.
A teacher affects eternity; he can never tell where his influence stops. ~Henry Brooks Adams
