My kids were suddenly fetched on Friday evening!
Its weird you would think I would be HAPPY to have some free time and generally when I KNOW they are bing fetched I do look forward to the time! But when its sprang upon me like it was on Friday – I dont actually cope well and tend to get rather down! Weird I know!
Anyway yesterday I spent the afternoon with Ansie – having wine and talking nonsense. It was, as always, fun. It did make me realise that I am OVER babies tho! I offered to change Jacobs nappy – I had no kids and Ansie has THREE so I reckon she has done more than enough nappies already! Well let me tell you I opened that nappy and was about to change my mind about being all helpful!!!!!! About half a pack of wet wipes later – Jacob was CLEAN and I was off babies for good!
Then off to Madis for pre-drinks before dinner with 4 of my buddies!!!! We had a surprise party for Jeanette and Marlise and it was really really nice! And as we were yelling at each other across the table (the music was obscenely loud) eating our pub dinners (we were at the Keg) I realised how absolutely blessed I am to have such wonderful people in my life!
The five of us are so uniquely different but are so uniquely the same and I hope that the new friendships within the group only get stronger and that whereever we all end up we never loose what we had last night!
