Every time I ask Jack what I can buy him for Christmas he says “just whatever you want mom” and then when I ask what he wants Father Christmas to bring him he says “I can’t tell you but Father Christmas knows.” So his list is a bit of a mystery but every now and then he throws something out that we can add to the list. 
I think though if we get him lots of Lego he will be happy. He has so me of the Ninjago lego and loves it. It is one of his favourite shows to watch so any lego from that series is definitely on his list.
Nerf Guns. We received this Nerf gun a few weeks ago and Jack asked his gran for another one for Christmas. The kids have the best time with these guns, even Cameron joins in and it’s chaos but SO much fun for them. (And Baby R approves of the bullets as teething toys)
Board Games. Jack loves board games. He asks David almost every weekend to play Post the Most and we were sent the new Unmonoply game recently and even though he is too young for it, he LOVES it. If anyone has any actual suggestions for some games for him, please send them.
And that is it. Well that is all we could get him to share with us. What do your 6 years old want this year?

Jack sounds just like my son with that Father Christmas comment I asked my son what he wanted the other day his response was he already told Father Christmas when we did a Christmas in July this year his wish list though is really extreme and wont be getting his wish (offroad quad bike) we have told him to remember he normally needs to suggest 3 gifts for Father Christmas and let Father Christmas decide which one would be best. he does however also like any lego or toys that need to be built, any ball games and hot wheels are also his firm favouritel
LOL an offroad quad bike! Jack would love that – if we had space for him to ride AND the bucks for it.
Oh no Matthew wants all the Nerf guns, Hot Wheels tracks and a Barbie Dolphin Transforming doll ?
There are some awesome Hot Wheels Tracks out there, I almost wish Jack was into them, they look like fun.
My six year old loves all things aeroplanes, cars, ninja and lego is always a winner. Playmobil is also a winner. Other items: Books, movies, gadgets for his bike (bell, light, bottle carrier, new helmet).
Things that change colour, like the TMNT figurines which change in warm water. And the simple things still work: kites, crayons, playdoh, balls.

oohh we have a Lightning McQueen that changes colour but I didn’t know about the TMNT. I am going to check for those.
These little guys are SO hard to figure out sometimes. My guy loves building all the things right now, so a great set of wooden blocks is on his list as well as anything lego or Roblox. Every year we use the “Something you Want, Something you Need, Something to Wear, Something to Read” concept- so at least I have some structure to the struggle! 🙂
I have heard of that Jenn, maybe I need to also try do something like that. Building blocks are a great toy.
My 5 year olds list is pretty much the same! He wants a nerf gun and board games! He also told me that he wants a picture of a lion scratching a hippo….not really sure what that’s supposed to mean!! LOL. We are going to get him walkie talkies so he can talk to his besties across the street!
Walkie talkies! What fun! My oldest had some when he was younger and they had loads of fun with them.
My oldest used to ask for one or two things. something like a new sled. And then he would ask for something, like hairbands, for his little sister. Now I take pics of things I see them admiring when we are shopping, so I am not left clueless. My 6 y/o this year, was a hard one to buy for. He likes monster trucks, but there are only so many different monster truck toys!
Thats a clever idea Samantha. Both my husband and I are now listening to Jack talk to try and pick up if he mentions anything he likes.
I love that Legos are so in right now! I’m definitely going to be getting my 5-year-old niece something Lego-related.
