{WIN} TWO Sasko Hampers worth R1000 each.

Holidays are around the corner guys!! I cannot wait! We are not going away this year which is sad because I won’t get to see my family but also pretty exciting because it means we don’t have to go anywhere. My plan is to turn into Nigella and bake with the kids and make sure we have as many baked goods as we would have at my moms.

I am also hoping to try out some new dinner recipes so that we can stop eating the same 5 meals on repeat!

The team at Sasko have sent me some recipes that sound amazing, so to start with I am sharing this pulled chicken recipe.Sasko|HarassedMom

[yumprint-recipe id=’33’]Sasko not only sent me some recipes but also TWO hampers to giveaway to 2 lucky readers.  Each hamper is valued at R1000 and contains a range of Sasko products, perfect for holiday baking!!Sasko|HarassedMom

To stand a chance to win one of these awesome hampers all you have to do is tell me what is your favourite thing to bake over Christmas?

Competition ends 21 November and my T&C’s apply. Contents of hamper may vary from the image.

  1. Cupcakes with white icing with mini xmas toppers. My daughter got me hooked on baking and we try new stuff together, xmas is especially wonderfull as the air is filled with love, happiness and the smell of baking…home made goodness

  2. Last Christmas was the first year we baked cookies for Santa – it was such fun…baking together, putting it out for Santa with some milk, checking on Christmas morning to see if Santa had any… I don’t know who loved it more – my son or I, but it was the best Christmas baking I have done and I will be doing it again 🙂

  3. I love baking cupcakes with my kids over the Festive season, and they love it as well.

  4. Somehow, when we do Christmas with my family, it has become the tradition that I do a baked orange cheesecake. It’s delicious, but requires a little organisation as oranges aren’t always readily available.

  5. We love baking cookies cause the kids choose their own shapes and also get to decorate them however they want.

  6. My favourite thing to bake during christmas is a ginger bread house. Its so much fun and my daughter loves it. We spends hours decorating it and making it look beautiful ❤

  7. Gingerbread houses and then each kid gets one to decorate!!and of course cupcakes but we actually use sasko ‘ s muffin mixes and make a hole in them fill them and ice everyone LOVES our cupcakes or muffins!we love baking in our house!

  8. A mosit Chocolate Cranberry Christmas Mini Cakes. It just screams Christmas and the family loves it. It’s a two layer chocolate cake with a cranberry filling. I drizzle the top with dark chocolate and add a leaf and berry to decorate.

  9. I love baking and over the Christmas season my family beg me to always bake their favorite chocolate pudding, Malva pudding and/or chocolate cupcakes.

  10. I love baking a Christmas pudding .. It always brings in the Christmas spirit, as everyone takes turn to watch it whilst it steams for hours ❤

  11. I love making Cinnamon-Sugar Cut-Out cookies, in the shape of Christmas trees, with my little boy eagerly lending a helping hand ?

  12. I love making Strawberry Santas … They’re easy to make (only requires strawberries, vanilla frosting, and black icing) and looks very festive.

  13. We always get together with at least 50 family members so I live giving them a selection of baked goods like cookies, sconces and muffins. No matter how exhausting it might be to cook and bake for such a large crowd I always have to have a show stopper that is inspired by ideas I find online, TV shows or magazines. In most cases it’s always something chocolaty not only because it’s a personal favourite, but also because it’s always a crowd pleaser besides my simple summer puddings.

  14. I WOULD love to Whip up delicious baked treats this festive season with SASKO. Their range of Breads, Flours and versatile Bake Mixes ensure my loved ones enjoy delicious treats no matter the occasion. I can trust SASKO to deliver superior quality baked goods, and thanks to the Bake Mixes, it will only take 30 minutes to surprise and delight your family. I would use SASKO cookie mix to make Sasko Bake Mix Lemon Meringue Pies. These delicious little lemon meringue pies are ideal for treats and parties and are so quick and easy to prepare. I would also love to use the Sasko flapjak and sasko vanilla flavoured muffin mix to make savoury muffins and flapjaks AND OTHER yummy treats for my family to enjoy!I would also love this festive season to make christmas pudding , fruit cake and ginger cookies for my family. It would really make my day to win a sasko hamper

  15. Even though I go crazy with the cookie baking during the holidays, I love layer cakes. There is something so sweetly appealing about their texture and taste that makes the perfect holiday indulgence (not that I’m wouldn’t make a layer cake on any ordinary Thursday…) ?

  16. I am absolutely passionate about baking…a great way for me to de-stress. I got my love of baking from my Mom and really enjoy her old recipes especially the biscuit ones. This year I have decided to bake gingerbread men, shortbread, Swiss butter cookies, choc chip and peanut butter cookies (the peanut butter ones are a big hit with family and friends and are my fav biscuits).

  17. I am retired now and really love baking. For Christmas this year I am going to attempt to bake some delicious mince pies and a fruit cake.

  18. I go into baking overdrive in the festive season! We are planning gingerbread houses – same as last year and various other cookies! I make a killer nutty cookie that you roll in icing while its still hot… DELICIOUS!

  19. Since my parents passed away, my siblings and I have tried to create new traditions for Christmas. We start the day with milk tart for breakfast, which we always make the previous day to let the flavours enhance, followed by mince tarts and shortbread. We don’t do a traditional Christmas lunch, but rather ribs with appropriate side dishes, which go down a treat with kids and adults alike.

  20. I started with the cookies, and still have a long list planned for the holidays.
I love baking and it’s one of the things the kids enjoy the most to do during the holidays.
cookies, cupcakes, tarts (child friendly fridge tarts), home made pizza’s and pies!
