Get out of your comfort zone with Experience Days

“The purpose of life is to live it, to taste experience to the utmost, to reach out eagerly and without fear for newer and richer experience.”  Eleanor Roosevelt

Isn’t this quote what life should be about? Experiencing as much as we can? As I get older I am trying to do more that is outside my comfort zone. I figure I have managed to raise 4 kids, which has included more vomit and other bodily liquids than anyone should have to deal with, bleeding eyes, toddler tantrums and teen moods. There isn’t much left to scare me so why not start experiencing life!

Experience Days contacted me a while ago to review one of their experiences and I really like this concept. I love getting gifts as much as the next person but very often people aren’t sure what to get you or end up getting you something generic like bath stuff, which is awesome but it would be nice to receive something a little different.

This is where Experience Days come in. They offer a wide range of experiences that you can enjoy or buy as a gift.  The experiences include adventures like rock climbing, canopy tours, abseiling and zip lining. You can also buy vouchers for an entire day out – these are great ideas for the holidays and include dolphin encounters. There are also experiences for those who would prefer something calmer like a spa day.

For this particular review I went with something less adventurous but still outside my comfort zone. I booked a mini makeover photo shoot.  I don’t love having my photo taking but had a lot of fun at this shoot with Kerry. She did my make up which is always fun to have done and we got some fun shots and some more corporate type shoots for my business.

If you are looking for Christmast gift ideas, check out what Experience Days has to offer. Teens can be tricky to buy for, an experience is a nice alternative and something I know both my teens would enjoy. I am also considering one of the spa days as a sort of Christmas gift to myself.

Which experience appeals to you the most?

Disclaimer: I was not paid for this post but was given the experience in exchange for a review.
