Living #TheOrganicsLife

There is always a bandwagon to jump onto and sometimes I feel like living a healthier life is just another one of those bandwagons because we grew up on viennas, sherbert and bread and we are just fine, right? Eating cleaner, living with less just seems to makes sense to me. Less processed goods, less chemicals, less packaging – it just makes sense.

It is, however, not that easy to just go green and change everything up. Not only because the more organic products are more expensive but also because everything has plastic and all convenience goods contain chemicals of some sort. So it is a slow process but I am determined to keep trying.

We have always used Organics Shampoo, it is one of the products Kiara likes for her hair and she has literally been through every single product there is. From a budget and large family point of view I love that it comes in a pump action 1 liter option. This works so well for us, there is some sort of “portion” control which means it lasts longer, especially if the younger kids get hold of it.

We were recently sent a; few of the newly formulate Organics products to try out as a family.

Organics Shampoo for Dry & Damaged Hair: While I prefer a 2-in-1 product, I am loving this product now with ethically sourced, organic Shea Butter. My hormones have been all over recently and it has affected my hair. My hair colour has actually changed! I needed a product like this that has been designed to deal with stressed hair. #TheOrganicsLife | HarassedMom

Organics Hair Shampoo Coconutty: I love this product. I know it is for kids but it has the nicest fragrance and makes the kids hair unbelievable smooth. Like really, we could not believe it. It is a no tears product but it did apparently burn Emma’s eyes a few times but in all fairness she is a little bit of a drama llama, Jack had absolutely no issues with it. I am also a sucker for funky packaging and this packaging is very cute. This product has no artificial dyes and has been dermatologist tested, and is hypoallergenic.

I have tried a few shampoos that don’t lather, you rub them into your hair and they don’t seem to be doing anything. Kids shampoos particularly are like this. I hate these products. When I wash my hair (or the kids hair) I want it to lather so I can see it cleaning. Both of these products do this, which is always a win for me.

Organics 2 In 1 solution: Cameron and David put this product to the test. A 2-in-1 product works well for them as well, it is quicker and when they need to take with to swimming etc, it is one product not two they have to take with. #TheOrganicsLife | HarassedMom

The Organics bottles are 100% recyclable, the 1 liter pump action bottle is a great one to keep and use over for other things. The packaging is made from 50% recycled plastic, which is a step in the right direction.

There are more organic products out there but this is a brand we love and have been using for years, it also fits our budget and the changes in formula and packaging mean they are aware that as consumers we want a greener, kinder product.

Do you use Organics? What do you think of their products?

Isn’t it such a pain. Few retailers here cater for larger families. It is so frustrating

We’ve slowly been changing over to more organic as well. If cost weren’t a factor, we’d definitely be all in, but with 3 kids, it can get expensive.
