Magic Moments

Sometimes the magic moment is actually made up of small moments and this was my week last week. There were lots of small little moments that make my life magical.

  • Kiara running out of the school gate with the biggest grin telling me she had the BEST day ever.
  • Jack clapping his little hands and shouting “go guys” at Cameron’s gala.
  • Watching Cameron swimming.
  • Confirmation for David of some awesome things happening at work.
  • The end of a hard yoga class.
  • Watching baby kick my tummy about.
  • Spending an afternoon with friends.
  • Watching the kids jump into the pool as the sun sets in all their clothes.
  • Having 2 of my photos accepted for the iPhoneography exhibition.
  • Getting the washing totally up to date (can I get a WOOOOOOT please)
  • Sunday morning naps!
  • Sunday afternoon movie marathons.

It was a good week with lots of magic!

  1. I love that first one where you tell us about how Kiara runs out of the school’s gate and you know she had a wonderful day. Our son comes out with a grin on his face and that’s how I know he had a great day 🙂
How we love our children 🙂

  2. Love the first one. It always makes my heart feel good to read of Kiara doing well, maybe because sometimes she struggled so much?

I had a good weekend. But my biggest magic moment was last evening. Mma, my nephew and I were sitting around the kitchen, eating dinner. And Mma was grilling my nephew about a woman he had a date with, and I kept interrupting them telling her that she’s being nosy, my nephew is a grown man and shouldn’t have to tell her about his dates (he’s 29) and Mma retorted I was the nosy one; she was not talking to me, just my nephew. And my nephew just laughed at us. And it struck me how far we’d come this year: Mma was feeling well enough to get out of bed, eat in the kitchen with us and she alert enough to notice that my nephew went on a date and to tease him about it. I don’t know how long this period of good health will last, but it’s such a blessing!

  3. Your number 1 is my FAVOURITE!
You are right. The magic is in the small things. I had a lovely weekend. It was one of those where we mostly stayed indoors, snuggled, watched movies and ATE TOO MUCH. Was raining in CT!
