There are so many cute clothes out there for babies. Little short sets, skirts for newborns and other beyond cute clothes. While they are super cute, they aren’t particularly practical for little people. Nothing beats the good old baby grow for functionality and practicality. BUT the poppers are always an issue (for the first 6 weeks then you can change your newborns nappy in the dark with a million poppers in 10 seconds flat!). As babies get older trying to get them to lie down to do up the poppers is also challenge (or a good cardio workout).
Opal Jay, a small mom run business, have the solution to all of these challenges. They recently launched a range of funky baby grows that have zips running down them, making it super easy to dress a wriggle baby. Their range goes beyond that though and offers moms something a little out of the ordinary. The designs are pretty gender neutral, funky and not something you see in the monochrome baby fashion of today. This is very appealing to me if I am perfectly honest!
I can hear you asking how I reviewed a baby grow without a baby! Well it was a joint review! I got a fellow mom who has the most gorgeous little baby to review the baby grows for me. She was not as sold on the designs initially, as I was but once she put them onto Baby M, she was sold! Unfortunately I can’t share Baby M’s face but she is absolutely LOVING life in her Opal Jay onesie!
Tiffini’s feedback was only positive. The hands and feet have little roll overs that turn them into gloves and slippers. HOW flippin cute is this? And such a cool idea to keep baba warm! The zip is two way which makes nappy changing a breeze AND if that isn’t enough there is a space on the zip to add a dummy change. The fabric is super soft, which really appealed to me and my many sensory issues and is obviously perfect for baby!
The sizes are pretty generous. Baby M is 10 months but is on the small size so we got her a 3-6 month Punky Purple one which fits her nicely. The Dizzy Diagonal design (the one with the stripes) is a 6-12 months and you can see it is a little too big for her right now.
If you are keen to order chat to the ladies at Opal Jay and they will help you figure out which size would work best.
