A happy marriage is about three things: memories of togetherness, forgiveness of mistakes and a promise to never give up on each other. Surabhi Surendra
That quote pretty much sums up what marriage is to me but these are a few of the things I know for sure.
- You ALWAYS have someone to phone when your car breaks down or get some good news or when you are lost.
- You will probably disagree more than you agree.
- No one in the world will irritate you more. NO ONE!
- You will never love someone so fiercely (ok maybe your kids but you know what I mean).
- They make life infinitely better by just being there.
- Your partner won’t listen, generally when you are lost and you are trying to help.
- It is about more than the ring. It is about knowing this person has committed to you forever.
- If you are married, non-married people will question WHY you got married. If you aren’t married, married people will question WHY you aren’t married.
- It is assumed, if you are married, that you cannot function without one another. When one goes, so the other must follow sort of thing.
- Everyone will tell you how to deal with your wife/husband.
- People will judge the choices you make as a couple.
- Parenting will make you want to physically harm your partner but it will also be the one thing that unites you. (In our house if we don’t stand together we will NEVER stand a chance of maintaining control).
- If your partner doesn’t want to make you a cup of coffee but does, it won’t be nice.
- It is easier sometimes to just say sorry and move on.
- You will both make sacrifices and compromises you never thought you would make (even stuff like sharing chocolate)

You can love and hate your partner at the same time! Love this post.
Loved this! Things I know :
There will be times you resent how much your partner sleeps! (especially in the newborn days)
At the end of the day, your partner is the only person (besides your mother) who will have your back
Even after 15 years of being together, your partner’s farts will still stink 😉
LOL SAM!!! Too funny!
