What are you reading?

One of the routines I have tried to maintain with all 4 kids is bed time. It does make evenings a little easier when everyone knows what is happening and when it is happening. When we let the evening routine slip we notice the difference in the kids.

Part of the routine is a bed time story (or 5) read to Jack and Emma by David. The kids pick the story every night and so often they chose the same story over and over. Emma can read some of her books off by heart now. David is always on the look out for new books, mainly because reading the same story every night does get a little boring (for him).  Disney Book Club | HarassedMom

When I was growing up we were part of a Disney Book Club, we still have some of the books that we got years ago. I joined the same club with Cameron.  So when I was offered the opportunity to try out the Disney Book Club again for Jack and Emma, I jumped at the chance.

They sent us a collection of stories my kids already know and some they aren’t so familiar with.

David is currently reading through these stories with them. The nice thing about these books is they are a little longer than the books we have been reading which means that they can be read over two or three days. Emma and I are enjoying Moana the most, it really is such a sweet story.

How does the Disney Book Club work?

It is super simple, you sign up and get two books once a month. It is that easy!

Why should you sign up?

Life gets busy, we all get distracted and while we may have good intentions to buy books for our kids, it doesn’t always work out that way. With this book club, you don’t have to stress about this. The books just arrive, ready to be read!

If reading is not a part of your daily life, it really should be, not only for the educational benefits of reading but also because it is a great quality time with your kids.

What is your child’s favourite book to read?

My kids are just toddlers and don’t have the attention span for anything long. They like Time For A Hug, Llama Llama Red Pajama…

My kids are super into the look and find books right now. They spend forever searching things out!
