WhimsyandWhatnots

This week we feature Tanja who has the most beautiful range of personalised childrens cutlery. It really is the funkiest range and would make ideal gifts for god children or nieces and nephews.

I’m a SAHM to 2 littlies and an obsession with all things crafty.

Recently, when things finally settled down to a mild panic after having a newborn in the house again, I decided to pursue an idea I’d had for something I enjoyed doing and I thought people might like, personalised children’s cutlery!  I use a method of hand stamping letters into the metal, so the letters are impressed into the item and will not wash off.

I also have a great love of words; reading is my favourite pastime when I’m not trying to master a new craft, so it didn’t take me long to get a whole proliferation of ideas with regards to putting words on various metallic objects!

Cutlery-Set

I was planning on doing everything sensibly, sorting out exactly what products I’d be offering, setting up an official website, doing some marketing etc etc etc, but when I shared my idea with a few friends online it just took off before I even had a chance to blink twice.

Family-charm

So it’s all a work in progress still and hopefully we will have a proper website up and running shortly, but for now I’m just running off my craft blog.

At the moment I have two main products I’m selling:

– Children’s cutlery sets which consists of a small stainless steel fork & spoon which has been hand stamped with the owner’s name

– Words of Wisdom sets, which consist of your choice of 4 coffee spoons, teaspoons or cake forks, stamped with some inspiring words like Live, Love, Laugh & Learn.

And because I like pretty things they come all nicely packaged in a variety of bright colours.

I also make custom orders for everything from key rings to pendants and remembrance charms.
